Genesis
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Nahara is one of the 1256 Kendriya Vidyalayas, run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India with the sole object of catering to the needs education of the children of transferable central government employees by providing a uniform and common syllabus and medium of instruction throughout the country. This Vidyalaya was established on December 9, 1987 at Nahara in Sonipat district. This Village is situated nearly 25 kms. from Narela, a sub city of Delhi. It comes in Lok Sabha Constituency: Sonipat (Haryana).
The Vidyalaya started with 100 students. Today 835 students are enrolled getting quality education. The Vidyalaya is affiliated to CBSE and follows the curriculum prescribed by the NCERT, implementing initiatives of NEP as directed. Under the able guidance of Principal, 39 staff members are striving dedicatedly to reach goals laid down by Ministry of Education and KVS.
The Vidyalaya has a spacious and well-equipped Resource Centre for the primary wing, library with 6572 books, 4 labs, one each for Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Providing a very conducive and safe learning environment to students is primary objective of the Vidyalaya. Students are given befitting exposure to co-curricular activities, thus developing their all round personalities.
The education is child centric, integrating technology and assessment tools. Vidyalaya is working towards inculcating social etiquettes, upright behavior and grooming students into responsible and proud citizens of the country. The Vidyalaya is progressing gradually towards excellence in the leadership of Commissioner KVS.
